This week in our Study of Acts (19:1-6), we come to a strange story about a group of disciples who had not yet heard of the Holy Spirit. They told Paul they believed in Jesus, yet they had not been baptized in his name. Paul does not delay- baptism is arranged, a mini-Pentecost occurs, and the disciples, now filled with the Holy Spirit, begin to speak in tongues and prophesy.
It’s a curious story about disciples who have belief and knowledge but no power. Is there a modern application for good Presbyterians?
Join us Sunday, and we’ll worship the Lord together in the powerful presence of the Holy Spirit!
